Twitter’s Business Model

• VC backers of Twitter on Friday said they remain bullish that they will become a profitable company and the new revenue models will be unveiled in the first half of next year.
• I feel like the ad supported open API will be a key issue in the revenue model. In addition they will definitely expand upon their ‘Groups’ thing they have done for the election which has proved to be very successful and helps to target advertisers. Maybe, just maybe they will insert real-time updating text ads that are relevant to your Tweets. Either way, all of these strategies will produce more revenue than they are making at the moment. Hopefully it will be solid as a rock.
