• TurnTo is a new service out of New York announced at DEMOfall 08 today.
• The Site allows you to “turn to” your friends for trusted advice regarding online shopping and other online “trusted information needed” decisions.
• Sites already utilizing TurnTo’s service are Earthwatch, Teavana, Angara, and CompSource.
• The service is very unobtrusive, which is an advantage to sites wanting to add a useful social aspect to their site.
• Has great potential but a long way to go as far as site partnering to  really gain any sort of stronghold in the social media/recommendation sector.
