Auto Translate Now Available For YouTube Videos

  • Google Translate adds real-time machine translation to any caption tracks you upload.
  • Just click the ‘Translate’ button, select a language and begin watching.
  • It’s not perfect yet, but instant machine translation is still heavy in the works. Stay tuned.

hi5 Now in 10 New Languages (Still No Klingon)

  • hi5 has been encouraging its users to translate text on the social network into other languages, resulting in 10 new languages lanching today (including Spanish) with 20 more expected by year’s end.
  • Facebook is taking a similar approach with its Translation app, having users translate the site into 63 different languages.
  • All translations for both networks are being made available to app developers.
