- SlideRocket is a collaborative online presentation application that produces slideshows similar to PowerPoint in the cloud.
- As they leave public beta, they have launched a new feature set that will start producing revenue for the 2 year old company.
- They will now allows users to purchase assets for their projects include licensed stock photos through a partnership with Fotolia, graphics and backgrounds from PresentationPro, and printing/delivery through Mimeo. They are calling it an “iTunes For Presentations”
- The company competes with Animoto, 280 North, Empressr, and Zoho
- They have raised $2M to date (12/07) from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners

- SlideRocket just came out of beta to launch an all around useful and professional presentation service.
- Has all the necessities like graphs, images, charts, special effects, even importing straight from Google Docs, among others.
- Users can download an application enabling offline use of presentations as well.
- Users are already saying the online application is superior to PowerPoint and even KeyNote.
- As of now, there are a few freezing issues being reported, most likely due to the traffic surge since launch.
