- In a statement announced today, The Pulizer Prize Board has now extended the eligibility for the prize to online-only publications.
- The only requirements needed are that posts are made atleast weekly and that they are “primarily dedicated to original news reporting.”

- Yesterday, the YouTube blog announced “Project: Report,” a contest for amateur/aspiring journalists.
- Winners get stuff from Sony VAIO and Intel, with the grand prize winner nabbing a $10,000 fellowship with the Pulitzer Center to report on a story in another country.
- YouTube has a colorful history with reporting, and its not always bright: earlier this year they defended the right of terrorists to post propaganda videos encouraging deaths of Americans.
- Will $10,000 be enough to really motivate people? Why not $100,000?
