Internet Explorer Losing More Market Share

by Jason Wilk on January 2, 2009

  • More bad news for Microsoft since rumors of the 15,000 potential layoffs coming next month.
  • Internet Explorer, Microsoft’s famed browser continues to lose market share. Stats from NetApplications in November shows that while IE fell below 70% dominance for the first time ever, Firefox grew beyond 20% market share for their first time.
  • As we saw earlier this morning with Google’s Android for Netbooks, Chrome will certainly begin to chip away at IE as well. Apple’s Safari standard and mobile browser will continue to grow with Apple’s growth in the computer and mobile markets.

Minggl: All Your Social Networks In A Toolbar

by David Heyerman on September 25, 2008

  • Minggl is essentially a browser plugin for Firefox and IE.
  • The plugin aggregates all your social networks into one toolbar or sidebar.
  • Users are able store their login credentials, send status messages to one or multiple networks at once, and view all their friends in one place.
  • User are also able to tag friends into specific groups from different social networks and message those groups specifically.
  • The service also offers MingglStream which tracks what all of your friends across various social networks are doing, similar to FriendFeed, except all in a sidebar/toolbar.
  • Minggl currently works with Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Digg, and Flickr with more compatibility to come.

Are Firefox users experiencing any issues with the plugin?
