FakeCalls — iPhone App of the Year?

by John Jorgensen on November 2, 2008

  • FakeCalls is a new iPhone app that will make your phone appear like you’re getting a phone call from any name you choose at a predetermined time.
  • Load the app and it will display an exact lookalike of the iPhone “Slide to unlock” screen (customizable), waiting for a certain amount of time before it starts vibrating/ringing and displaying your fake call.
  • You can change how long the app waits to call you after being launched in the app’s settings, from 0 seconds to 10 minutes.
  • If you decline the call (how polite of you!), FakeCalls will call back again after a few seconds.
  • App costs .99 cents. Get it here.
  • Useful if you’re being interviewed by Scoble.

jk Scoble, you know we love you.
