AdEngage

• AdEngage, which was founded in 2004, sells ads for 4,000 sites, and has 13 billion ad impressions per month (mostly adult)
• Technorati acquired them today to use the technology for building out a larger ad network.
• They want to start selling ads on smaller blogs by grouping them together and selling them off in a large bundle. Smart move, I’d rather be on 100 smaller blogs than one big one.
• The deal was an all stock transaction, which is a bad deal for AdEngage considering all the problems Technorati has had in both leadership and stagnant traffic.
• This all in all is a good move for Technorati.
