  • PreCentral got their hands on an internal AT&T document today meant to educate employees on why the iPhone is a better buy than the Pre. Many of the points we already know, but Palm might be a little upset to hear that AT&T salesman are throwing down these lines:
  • The Palm Pre “Touchscreen control gestures not intuitive”. The iPhone has a “Patented Multi-Touch screen” and “Fast and responsive navigation.”
  • The iPhone is “Thinner, lighter, bigger screen, metal and glass design” while the Pre is “Available in Black only; plastic casing.”
  • The Pre is not a GSM world phone and has “Limited free Wi-Fi access” because they can’t access AT&T Hotpots.
  • The Pre has an “Unproven App Catalog app store.”

I don't blame AT&T for educating their salesforce. Good for them. I just think the educated buyer will be able to determine what parts of this are important and which are not and make the right decision.
