Palm Pre Officially Delayed

Just received an inside tip from a Palm design employee stating the Pre is officially delayed from it’s previous leaked launch date published by BGR. It’s no wonder there is a scheduled Sprint and Palm webcast on Thursday, March 12, centered around the Pre. The Webcast starts at 11 a.m. PST on March 12 with 20 minutes scheduled for the presentation and 20 minutes allowed for Q&A. Wonder what ingenuity Dan Hesse will drop on us this time?

OK, so that's about the juiciest rumor I've seen in a while - and hot on the heels of all of this bad 3rd quarter news, but there's got to be something more? Anything about why?

lol..... how in the world am I supposed to believe that? All other info has been that they are on schedule as stated.

It's not officially delayed until Palm announces it; a tip from an anonymous employee passed onto a blog is not "official".

IT is "delayed" from the March 15 rumored release date....LOL as it was already delayed from the earlier far fetched release date of Feb 15th... This is all a smoke screen and Apple Fanboy rumormongering. IT is still on schedule for the ACTUAL releae date of the Sceond Q which is up thru jun 30 NoOne ever promised it earier then that even though MANY of us woud ike it soone and hope a sooner fate. Be onest do not play game with semantics and half truths,e already hve a new administration doing that daily and a MEDIA that does it always.

I cannot wait for this phone. I am waiting for them to launch this so I can ditch my Verizon Blackberry Curve and get back with Sprint and the Pre.

Hey, don't feel bad. Lots of people got the Palm Treo PRO release date of March 15 confused with the as-yet-unannounced Palm PRE release date. There's no need to pretend that Palm is delaying the Pre release. They've said all along it would be the first half of 2009.
