Either Apple is genius at distracting the masses from layoffs by debuting two new products today, or this is entirely false. Tipsters have been writing in talking about layoffs at Apple today. Some say there are “major layoffs”, another wrote that “all sales teams have mandatory meetings today” and that “HR booked conference rooms in Cupertino.” If this build any merit to the story, Al Shipp, Apple’s SVP of enterprise sales, quietly left the company in November.
