Once a company has taken in $40M in investment you are not going to be able to sell if for $100M without some later stage VC having egg on their face for a poor investment decision. Perhaps the VC's aren't ready to admit that yet .. but perhaps you have seen the Digg shareholder agreement ? Did Kevin & Jay really scoff at a $100M offer ? or was it their VC’s?
