Walmart iPhone Likely, But $99 Price Tag Isn’t
by John Jorgensen on December 8, 2008

- Looks like the iPhone is coming to Walmart, but don’t expect anyone to get trampled over the pricetag.
- Leaks have shown the phone to be priced at $197 for the 8GB, dashing previous rumors of a $99 4GB phone coming to Walmart’s shelves.
- Might as well pick up the phone at an Apple store. Anytime you can avoid Walmart its always a plus. It’s like the MySpace of the retail industry — the place generates lots of revenue, but you’d like to minimize your time there if possible.
