Better Place Coming To Hawaii: Shootz Bradda

by David Heyerman on December 3, 2008

  • Project Better Place has been all over the media lately, what with the Governer of Detroit visiting the startup’s headquarters in Israel, and San Francisco announcing the first American/Better Place partnership.
  • Governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle, announced along with CEO of Project Better Place, Shai Agassi, that Hawaii will be the next location in the US to develop an electric vehicle charging network.
  • The partnership shoots to bring 50-100,000 charging stations to the islands by 2012, with electric cars on the road within 18 months.
  • A great announcement for Hawaiian locals as gas prices on the islands are often the highest in the country.
