Take Our Jobs, Take Our Liberty, Just Don’t Take Our Porn

FCC chairman Kevin J. Martin, who is on his way out, is trying to leave as a hero in the minds of millions of Americans (not me or you)
In his last few months, he is trying to push for a free wireless web for the entire USA, utilizing the empty white spaces that can enable free Wi-Fi, coast-to-coast.
What’s the catch? Martin is trying to attach an addendum to the proposal that says ‘anyone attempting to use the free wireless connection will be blocked from accessing porn. Huh?
This opens the door for the FCC to regulate decency standards on the Web. It is mindless that the FCC chair even think she can regulate such a vast sea of porn sites on the web, when he can barely regulate 500 channels on TV.
Just remember Kevin Martin. In a down economy, the porn industry provides tax dollars, jobs and most importantly ‘high spirits’.
