Ballmer on Yahoo: Forget It

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer at the Committee for Economic Development of Australia lunch today: “Look, we made an offer, we made another offer. It was clear that Yahoo didn’t want to sell the business to us, and we moved on … we are not interested in going back and making an re-looking at an acquisition.”
After the Google/Yahoo advertising deal fell apart, Yahoo gave indication that they would be open to heading back to the negotiating table with Microsoft but now that looks out of the question.
Yahoo’s share price is currently at $12.03, quite a drop from the $33 offer from Microsoft they walked away from.
