Gizmodo Unlocks CNN’s Hologram Interviews. It’s Not Star Wars Yet Luke

Hologram Interviewee:
• 35 HD cameras pointed at the subject in a ring (shooting at different angles)
• Cameras are hooked up CNN HQ in NY, synchronizing the angles so perspective is right
• Not just hologram, but infrared
• Correspondents watch a 37inch monitor in front of them to see the interviewer
• Twenty “computers” are crunching this data in order to make it usable

***Unfortunately, the hologram is not projected onto the floor, so its not as exciting as you might think. Wolf Blitzer was talking to a position on the floor.
