Still My Favorite Place To Discover New Tracks and Remixes

  • The Hype Machine has been a great music search engine for me the last couple years, and even with all the recent competition, I am still a loyal fan.
  • HypeMachine is different in that they crawl music blogs for songs that a blog has posted, legally or illegally. Search for a song or artists and HypeM will display resulting songs found, letting you play each one within the results.
  • Supported by many DJ’s and hipsters (and American Apparel advertising), it’s a great site to play the music you want to hear as well as get introduced to the blogs that posted the track. Many times the blog who posted the song will have similar music taste enabling you to find new artists you may never have heard of.
  • What I use it for the most is listening to remix’s of my favorite songs. I search a song I like, for example MGMT ‘Kids’, and the HypeM will display tens if not hundreds of remixes of that soung found in its crawl.
  • Give it a try.

It's true Thompson. And if you like Bloc Party, the remix's are plentiful. : )

I have been using this site for the past three to four months and love it. It is one of the best places I have found on the web to hear a track months before it gets any air play on the radio(if ever).
