  • Blogger and Podcaster Magazine is looking to take bloggers, whos sites don’t bring in much traffic and turn their hobby into a job that pays w/ benefits.
  • The new venture called Blogger and Podcaster Media Network has partnered with a few different services that will help the blogs that signup gain traffic and awareness.
  • Each blog that joins will get to:
    • Utilize SocialRank’s technology (monitors other blogs for related and popular content).
    • Use BPMN’s connections with large media companies to help get more exposure.
    • Get a free package from PR NewsWire, which will deliver hot of the press news to the blogger and will also help to distribute any original content.
    • Healthcare. The company is looking into this
    • $500-1000 for referring other blogs to join (MLM?)
    • Recieve ad revenue sold by BPMN’s sales team.
  • This sounds like a pipe dream if they plan to do this for hundreds or thousands of blogs. They would be better off finding about 10 blogs that do a great job, who only generate about 20-30K (or less) visitors a month and aren’t generating money. He should then incubate each of those by offering them exclusive tools such as the PRWire/Big media contacts and get each of them up to the 100K a month mark. Take an equity or 2-3 year ad contract with each, and youve got yourself a slew of profitable blogs.

They are simply out of their minds this will never work. Sounds like a pyramid scheme that will make a very few some money and most none.

I hope they have had their business plan reviewed by a lawyer
  • wow, internet network marketing....now I've seen everything.....Jason's idea is far better
