Yammer Becoming More Enterprise Worthy. Ditches The ‘One Big Inbox’ Stigma

  • Sometime this week, Yammer will be rolling out their new features: Groups, Tags and Threaded Comments. Video demo here.
  • Groups: Instead of one jumble of co-worker updates, you can organize task forces and different company sectors into separate groups (certain groups can be made private).
  • Hash Messages: Users can now add a hash tag to messages, which can be followed separatel
    This is Yammer’s big push to make their service more enteprise worthy for larger corps. We are still bearish on Yammer over here at tinyComb due to a low barrier to entry for major enterprise giants like Cisco, Salesforce and Oracle.
