This Downturn Better Not Kill Pandora

by Jason Wilk on October 17, 2008

  • One of, if not the best music destination on the web, Pandora, has let go 20 people today or 14% of their staff.
  • This brings their total team down to 120
  • They are trying to weather the current economic storm, but Pandora has been getting worried about financial problems throughout the year with their fight against music licensing/royalty fees with the labels.
  • This is not good news for Pandora, I would hate to see them go.

I can't wait to see the flood of lawsuits that will ensue if Myspace Music is getting preferential licensing rates over sites like Pandora and Last.fm.
