T-Mobile Sells Out Of Their Google Phone Pre-Orders. For Real?

by Jason Wilk on October 12, 2008

  •  T-Mobile and Google are on pace to be the new AT&T and Apple.
  • 1.5 million G1s have been reserved so far by fans wanting to be the first one to own the hyped Google Phone.
  • 2 million more are set to release in retail stores on the Oct.22nd launch date.
  • Google must be getting nervous as reviews are set to be piling in from consumers in less than 2 weeks.
  • The phone has received some criticism thus far that it won’t be the next big thing for Google, but I guess we will have to see.
Any tiny readers on that reserve list?
  • Please don't tell me I need to wait in a long line at the T-Mobile store to get my GPhone. I've been hoping it'll be easy to get one. I'm sure the first version won't be super - but I'm willing to be an early adopter.

It's hard imagine a line outside of the tMobile store. I dont think you will see it considering there aren't any tMobile fanboys like the Apple group. Had Google done their own handset, brand, etc, it might have been a different story.
