MySpace Lets You Advertise Your Profile

by John Jorgensen on September 24, 2008

  • MySpace has launched self-service ads, largely focused on musicians in preparation for MySpace Music.
  • Create an ad (728×90 or 300×250) and select an audience (interests/demographics) to display it to, then MySpace will serve it internally on their site.
  • User created ads can’t point to an external site, only to another MySpace profile.
  • There’s no fee to display the ad; MySpace only charges when it is clicked. ($25 campaign minimum)
  • Will be a useful marketing tool for musicians to sell music, ringtones, tickets and merch from their profiles once MySpace Music launches.
