- You know it’s bad news when a company can’t afford to keep on their affiliate advertising.
- AIG sent the below message to all of its publishers using Commission Juntion to try and drive insurance leads for them.
- Says it’s not permanent but I wouldn’t be so sure. When a company is looking for economic advertising, the last type to get rid of is affiliate. You only have to pay per action when a publisher drives a lead for you. Nonetheless, things are not looking good for AIG.
Dear _______,
I’m sure you are aware of what has been going on with AIG in the financial sector. Unfortunately, this is having an effect on our affiliate program and we need to ask you to please pause any advertising you have up for aigdirect.com and 21st.com.
This is NOT permanent, we hope that it will only be for the next 7 days and then we can turn everything back on. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me at dan@partnercentric.com.
Thank You!
Dan Fink
