The Future Of Mobile Search Is Visual

by Jason Wilk on September 18, 2008

  • SearchMe, the visual search company that has raised $43.6m, is moving their concept to the iPhone this week.
  • SearchMe has taken Apple’s ‘CoverFlow’ idea and applied it to search, displaying entire web pages and images in results unlike traditional text search.
  • The app is young and still lacks certain filter features, but nonetheless will be a cool alternative to regular search occasionally. ..
  • SearchMe is having minor success thus far, seeing 224,000 uniques a month according to Compete.

How do you feel about visual mobile search?
