Should Twitter & Pownce Be Scared Of Fidj.it?

by David Heyerman on September 15, 2008

  • Fidj.it is a new, micro-blogging tool setting it’s sights on combining unique services from both Twitter and Pownce.
  • The free service offers unlimited length of posts, as opposed to Twitter’s 140 word maximum.
  • They also, like Pownce, allow sharing of files and links with a maximum file size limit of 50MB.
  • The site boasts big future plans integrating SMS updates, other mobile capabilities, as well as an API for application developers.

Do you think Fidj.it has a chance at competing with Twitter & Pounce if they implement their projected plans correctly?
