Newspapers Hate Google-Yahoo Ad Deal

  • The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) has asked the US Department of Justice to block the Google-Yahoo ad deal.
  • Gavin O’Reilly, president of WAN, says that it will significantly lessen competition and leave Yahoo unable to compete for newspapers’ ad business.
  • This adds another opponent to the deal — WAN joins Microsoft and the Association of National Advertisers.
