Microsoft Startup, Wallop, Bites The Dust

by Jason Wilk on September 15, 2008

  • The social network founded by the Microsoft Research Team has decided to close its doors
  • Wallop started in 2006, claiming to be a Facebook and MySpace killer with its ‘innovative’ approach to driving revenue.
  • They thought that by members using their profile to create/sell self-expression items, that advertising dollars would not be necessary to survive.
  • Funny enough, all they have left is their Facebook applications. Brilliant.
