iPhone Visual Tagging Application, Sekai Camera, Bewilders TC50 Crowd

by glu on September 10, 2008

  • Sekai Camera (World Camera) by Japanese mobile application company Tonchidot displays tags as view the real world through your iphone camera.
  • Using a combination of GPS/triangulation for location and the accelerometer for angle/perspective the application can accurately (as far as we can tell from the demo) add tags, notes, etc. to items in real world space.
  • Example implementaions could include tagging resturaunts and shops with your comments and reviews so that when your friends come along with Sekai Camera they can instantly read your tags about what they are seeing.

Have you mastered the ability to walk while looking through the iPhone camera?
