Google Starting To Sound A Lot Like Microsoft?

by Jason Wilk on September 7, 2008

  • Marissa Mayer, VP of Search and User Experience for Google came out and said that ’search’ is 90-95% solved in an LA Times Interview.
  • This means that in 50 years there will be a 5-10% improvement in the way we search for information online. (Google must not think we are going to be around much longer)
  • This sounds like Microsoft when they thought they had figured out the end result of computers and software in the 90’s.
  • Do you think Google will be the leader in search forever, or is it this kind of ‘Microsoft’ mentality that could pave the way for someone else to rise up?

Made tiny from: TechCrunch.com original article and LA Times exclsuive.

    Sounds like Microsoft

I think google is starting to get into other tech areas and not concentrating on the search engine. Examples: Google Android and their new Google web browser
