SocialMedian Opens Up, Adds Features

by John Jorgensen on September 4, 2008

  • SocialMedian, the social news aggregation service, has added new features since their beta launched in April ‘08.
  • News-Streaming: Share content from your social networks based on specific keywords. Share everything from Digg with the keyword “environment,” for example. Also works w/ Flickr, Delicious, Google Reader, etc.
  • Reverse-Blog Widget: Displays newest content from your blog whenever someone reads/comments on a story from it.
  • Better Sorting: Popular Today/Week/Month tabs are now present, along with tabs Rising Fast and Hot Discussions.
  • Opens to Web: All pages are now crawlable by search engines, each user can now publically link to their SocialMedian page allowing others to see what they’re following, and registration is no-longer required.
  • “It’s like Digg, Google Reader and FrieendFeed all mashed up together.”
