iSkoot Swallows Social.Im, Can’t Afford To Wait Thirty Minutes Before Swimming With The Big Fish

by glu on September 4, 2008

  • Don’t let the logo fool you, iSkoot doesn’t make three wheeled zoomers but rather makes mobile VoIP via Skype a frugal deal for international calling baby boomers.
  • iSkoot acquisition of Social.im, the once innovative, now obsolete Facebook messaging tool, will test the well funded ($13M) startup’s ability to squeeze whatever juice is left of Social.im and mix it with its mobile application.

Despite its partnership with Skype and new messaging technology can iSkoot compete with similar implementations by the brands (Facebook, Skype, etc.) themselves?
