Companies Bowing Down To Digg Royalty?

by Jason Wilk on September 3, 2008

  • It is well known in the Digg community that there are the certain ‘allstars’ who can get stories to the homepage.
  • One of them has supposedly come out in an interview saying he has been profiting from companies who need his Digg help.
  • 34% of the time, this anonymous person can get your web site or story on the homepage..
  • He charges anywhere from $700 for base promotion and an extra $500 if your story hits the homepage of Digg.
  • Getting on the homepage generates a minimum average of 20,000 hits.

Does the power of the Digg’s community to do things like this scare off potential buyers of Digg?
